Export Packing and Shipping for CNC Mould Equipment
A machine that survives sea freight arrives earning money. How CNC mould equipment is packed, fixed plus shipped to ports worldwide.
A mould machine is a precision asset before it is cargo. Most of the risks between our floor and your workshop are predictable - moisture, shock, lifting, customs paperwork - and each has a standard answer. Here is how a machine actually leaves our factory for an overseas port.
Preparation before the case
The machine is drained of coolant where required, protected films are applied to finished surfaces and guideways, and the spindle is secured. Loose items - toolholders, manuals, spares, test reports - are boxed and listed. Every export machine ships with its laser interferometry and ballbar test records, so the receiver can compare the machine's condition on arrival against its factory state.
The case itself
Export-grade plywood cases with internal bracing carry the machine. Heavy models sit on a steel or heavy timber skid with dedicated lifting and forklift points. Inside, the machine is bolted to the base against shifting, with shock-absorbing supports under the corners. Vapour-phase or barrier film plus desiccant protects cast surfaces and electrical cabinets through weeks of humid ocean air - this matters most for shipments crossing the equator into tropical ports.
Fixing for ocean transit
Container and vessel movement is slow but relentless. The failure mode is not a crash; it is micro-movement that loosens brackets or lets moisture condense. Our packing targets those: load spreaders under feet, tensioned straps, and clear upright markings so stevedores handle the case the way it was designed to be handled.
Documents that keep the machine moving
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin - including Form E where a market's tariff schedule rewards it - and the machine's technical file. Paperwork errors strand machines at ports for weeks; we prepare the set before the vessel sails, not after.
On arrival
Plan the unload: forklift capacity for the case weight, a clear route to the machine's final position, and floor preparation done in advance. Most commissioning delays we see are not shipping problems at all - they are workshops that booked the machine before preparing the floor for it.
