T Series Vertical Machining Center: Built for Rigidity
T series VMC in six models focused on rigidity and stable accuracy, with a BBT40 spindle plus positioning accuracy of ±0.003/300 mm.
What the T Series Is For
When a vertical machining center flexes, two things go wrong: surface finish gets chatter marks and tool life drops without an obvious reason. The VITOP T series was engineered against exactly those problems. It is a six-model range, from the VMC-855T to the VMC-1270T, optimised for rigidity and stability so that the accuracy you measure on day one is still there after a year of production.
Envelope: Six Models, One Clear Ladder
Worktable travel (X-axis) runs from 800 to 1200 mm, sliding saddle stroke (Y-axis) from 550 to 700 mm, and spindle box travel (Z-axis) from 550 to 700 mm. Tables step from 550 x 1000 mm through 600 x 1200 mm up to 700 x 1300 mm, carrying 500 to 800 kg.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Worktable travel (X-axis) | 800 - 1200 mm |
| Sliding saddle stroke (Y-axis) | 550 - 700 mm |
| Spindle box travel (Z-axis) | 550 - 700 mm |
| Worktable dimensions | 550x1000 / 600x1200 / 700x1300 mm |
| Worktable load capacity | 500 - 800 kg |
| Spindle | BBT40-Φ150 |
| Spindle speed | 10000 r/min belt type; optional 12000 r/min direct drive |
| Spindle motor power | 7.5 - 11 kW |
| Positioning accuracy (X/Y/Z) | ±0.003/300 mm |
| Total electrical capacity | 25 KVA |
That envelope covers the work most shops actually do: mould plates, brackets, housings and small-to-medium production parts. If your parts are longer than 1200 mm, look at the L series instead; if they are heavier than 800 kg, the gantry range is the better conversation.
BBT40 Spindle with Dual-Contact Tooling
The series uses a BBT40-Φ150 spindle. The BBT taper contacts both the taper and the flange face, which stiffens the tool joint noticeably compared with a standard BT40 fit. In practice that means less tool vibration in deep pockets, better wall finishes and measurably longer cutting edge life, especially on finishing passes where spindle speed is standard 10000 rpm on the belt-type spindle. If your work includes high-speed aluminium or graphite finishing, the optional 12000 rpm direct-drive spindle is the version to quote.
Accuracy You Can Audit
Positioning accuracy is ±0.003/300 mm on X/Y/Z. Rigidity claims mean nothing without process control behind them, so it is worth knowing how VITOP builds to that number: HT300 resin-sand castings with double ageing treatment to release stress, hand-scraped and matched guideways, and laser interferometry plus ballbar testing on every machine before it leaves the factory. Ask for the test report of the machine you are buying.
Power Planning: 25 KVA
Total electrical capacity is 25 KVA across the range, which keeps installation simple. Many existing shops can connect it without upgrading their supply. Still, check your incoming voltage stability; in regions with fluctuating supply, a stabiliser is cheap insurance for the spindle drive and control electronics.
Typical Applications
- Repeated production batches where stable accuracy reduces inspection time.
- Mould plates, cavities and cores in pre-hardened and hardened steels.
- Bracket, housing and flange work for automotive and general machinery.
- Shops replacing several ageing manual mills with one reliable CNC.
How to Spec It
Pick the model by your largest part plus clearance, then decide the spindle: 10000 rpm belt for general steel and cast iron work, or the optional 12000 rpm direct connection if finishing speed matters to you. If you are unsure between the T series and a heavier frame, send your part drawings and cutting data to VITOP and ask for a machining recommendation before you order.
